Introduction
microG GmsCore is a FLOSS (Free/Libre Open Source Software) framework to let applications designed for Google Play Services to run on systems, where Play Services is non available. If you use your phone without GAPPS this might become a useful tool for you.

Instructions
Grooming:

Signing key

This projection is still rather unstable. Please report bugs every bit they occur. Whenever you study a bug, please tell usa what application caused the issues, including its exact version. If you're the programmer, name the play services library you are using. Please exercise non carp the original app author when it might exist related to microG services. If the problem is related to geolocation with UnifiedNlp, written report it in the UnifiedNlp thread, even if y'all're using it through GmsCore.

I am wondering why the code for GsfProxy, which looks rather simple, is non included as part of GmsCore. . .
Also, there are some older apps that I have that use Maps API v1, so I take installed it from the link at http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1715375 I presume some rework would be needed to fold that into GmsCore but that would be another squeamish feature. The user-friendly thing well-nigh gapps is that it comes every bit a unmarried package, having to install multiple items from the microG project makes things a piffling else friendly.
FWIW, I've been using the downloads from http://files.brnmod.rocks/apps/GmsCore/Latest/ and have been very pleased with GmsCore (and UnifiedNlp before information technology). Now that in that location is an official version tag, I wonder if F-Droid will pick this up. That would brand it piece of cake to keep it relatively current.

The whole purpose of GsfProxy is to not be included in GmsCore: For GCM to work properly y'all need 3 packages installed: "com.google.android.gms" (GmsCore), "com.android.vending" (FakeStore/BlankStore) and "com.google.android.gsf" (GsfProxy). This is how Google build it up, don't ask me why.

I'm not saying let's rush and have both but I only thought from what I read that blank store will exist depreciated in favor of something better simply having play services replacement is great.
I believe you are correct, Blankstore will be replaced by something in a while and information technology is simply being maintained if/when a Google change requires information technology.

Exactly! Once Play Services are working well and there is someone to work on it, a successor to Blankstore should appear.
I'd like to help just fifty-fifty though I tin can get a number of things to compile through either the old Android CLI development arrangement or Android Studio I haven't figured out how to get nigh of the components in the microG projection to compile on my figurer. Seems similar I've bolloxed something needed to make gradle, etc., to work properly. If/when I get fourth dimension I judge I should wipe the whole machine and start over on setting up a development environment.
In the meantime, I am amazed by the work @MaR-V-iN had done with the microG projection. I don't miss having GAPPs on my phone at all.

Overnice! Fifty-fifty original Play Store started to piece of work with this! Non fully, but now you tin login, search for apps and see already installed ones. Just download doesn't work yet. Keep up skillful piece of work! Original GMSCore is android cancer.
I tried this out yesterday after yous posted it to verify your findings. I received some random play store fault lawmaking.
When I wanted to do this once again today, instead of the error bulletin, a dialog popped upward asking me to "renew" my account. I continued and skipped the payment details. Later that I was able to download and install applications. Tin can yous try this out on your device besides. Unfortunately, I couldn't get push messaging to piece of work properly; after installing as described I was able to sign in to textsecure, but I but get new messages when the app is opened and in foreground. Further, in push notification tester I but get the first 3 checks. Some other trouble is a huge battery drain since I installed information technology, every bit you can meet in the picture. If I tin provide more than info, specific logs, I'd beloved to do then. Groovy projection, thanks for your efforts.

These problems are likely acquired by a bug in the gcm background service. Can you delight grab logcat for output containing Gcm (from a unix shell `adb logcat | grep Gcm > gcm.log`) and send this to me (PM, information technology might contain sensitive data). Yous can also force checkin manally by dialing *#*#CHECKIN#*#* or on a tablet open up a root shell and invoke `am circulate -a android.provider.Telephony.SECRET_CODE -d android_secret_code://2432546`. The problem is known and will be fixed in the next blastoff.
